Egypt is not very far from Turkey but despite the speed and efficiency of 21st Century air travel it took most of the day from our house to arriving in Dahab, the first port of call on our month's holiday! Flights from İzmir to İstanbul; İstanbul to Cairo; Cairo to Sharm el Sheikh.
