After a very enjoyable week's horse-riding at Rifugio Prategiano in June 2005 I decided to return for a week's trail ride to the sea and back. Unfortunately, when I got there I found that the trail ride had been undersubscribed so I spent the week doing satellite rides out and back from the hotel on various different routes. This was still very enjoyable and relaxing. My horse called Asia was just right for me - forward going but safe and sensible and at 15. 01 hh not too high (I am only 5ft 1in). Like last year I went on my own but found that the riding group were all very friendly and that there were other people on their own. I was the only English person there though the ride supervisor/guide spoke English throughout.
