My first trip to South America. Spectacular scenery in the Andes but a lot of poverty, pagan influences alive and well, subsistence farming, very remote areas without easy transport connections, very gentle and courteous people, beautiful cheap jewellry and alpaca knitwear. I must return and see more of South America.
