We decided to head down to Guatemala and neighboring Belize for a 2 week adventure. This time around we're being joined by Pat and Lucy, Bill's son and son's girlfriend. We will start in the colonial city of Antigua, explore volcanic Lake Atitlan and its environs, and foray into the mystical Mayan ruins of Tikal. We will then cross over into Belize for a several-night stay at a jungle lodge, and finish the trip on Caye Caulker before returning home. Along the way we plan to see caves, zoom over jungle canopies on zip lines, view wildlife, snorkel in the Caribbean waters, and generally have a good time.
