OK, so after this was never going to be the holiday of a lifetime - it was just a short. break over the long Easter weekend .
NZ had given us the wettest and coldest summer on record and I had promised my boss no extended trips away this year. Then Air NZ came to the party and offered some cheap flights - and that was it. A spontaneous decision to go chase some sunshine!
