This Travel Blog will document my trip from Oriental, NC, down the east coast (SC, GA, FL, the Keys, up to the Western side of FL, AL, MI, LA and TX. In November of '07 I bought Naciente, a 2001 32' Taiwanese-built single engine trawler. As many of you know, I lived aboard a sailboat for 12 years and wanted to switch to a powerboat due to the shallower draft for better ease of maneuvering in the Galveston Bay area. Since Naciente is located in Oriental,NC, I decided it would be a great opportunity to take a couple of months off and bring her home to Houston with the help of my good friends Gene and Maggie and later Tom and Beverly. We will depart from Oriental Mid April and should be home sometime around mid June.
