In January, 2003, I went to France to travel with Bobby Kacher - Bobby Kacher, for those of you who are not wine geeks, is an urban Wine God. Every January, Bobby Kacher takes seventy - five to eighty people with him to France, to meet some of his vignerons, and to sample the wines they have 'in barrel.' It's a trip set up to educate people in the wine business - to help them understand the product. I was scheduled to meet Bobby Kacher on January 15th, in Nimes ; I left a week early.
