Laurie and I were convinced the best of our trips were behind us. Not so. Leaving the cool Canberra winter and staying for a few relaxing days in Trinity Beach North of Cairns in Queensland and the North Territory gave us a chance to rest after a school term and to prepare for the adventure ahead. Diving 70km outside of Cairns on the Great Barrier Reef was the first inkling of what was to come. Then on to a 3 day outback safari in Kakadu National Park... thousands of square kms the size of Switzerland of sheer adventure.
