A Blue Highway trip across America. We drive Old Route 6,the first transcontinental highway, from California to the East.
About this blog
After recuperating for a year from our Central American adventure, we set out again on another long adventure (7000 miles), this time from New York to southern California. On the way out we took a southern route to try to catch warmer weather. On the way back we took old route 6, the first transcontinental highway built across the continent, much of which remains a two-lane road with occasional sections of interstate taking over the old roadbed. It was along this route that we learned much about the vast middle of our country.
