We depart Urick Farm on the morning of June, 01. Our flight connects through Heathrow in London and we are at the mercy of the "fluid ash explosions" from the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland, and the current British Airways strike that is canceling 70% of the domestic flights within Europe. Since we are on frequent flyer tickets we are not sure what their priority would be to get us on a flight if ours was cancelled. We hope we make it! The next hurdle is the Green economy and their political demonstrations. Our Greek travel agent assures us that they have NEVER demonstrated in our hotel, just nearby. He sounds like a true optimist - our kind of guy! After 4 nights in Athens we take the Greek ferry system to Paros, Naxos and Santorini (Thira). After flying back to Athens for a night we connect to come home. We trust it will go as planned!
