About this blog

This is our travel blog for our Around-the-World Trip! We are a family of three from San Diego, California, taking the school year "off" to travel the world, September 1, 2011 through May 30, 2012!

Our goals are to: 1) Acquire "Global Eyes" to see the world as part of ourselves, gaining a worldwide perspective from which to view our own lives, goals, and values. 2) We hope to gain a comfort with different cultures and lifestyles that will be so important in the kids' futures. 3) We hope to come home ever more grateful for the opportunity to have the lives we are so fortunate to have.
