Homecoming Trip To Penang
About this blog
Hi All
After nearly a 26 year absence from a place that I called home in my early teenage years I embarked on a pilgrimage to Penang, Malaysia with nearly 300 ex RAAF School Penang brats to reminisce and reflect on a truly remarkable experience that holds a special place in all our hearts.
This gem of an island is 'deadset' 'T-H-E Pearl Of The Orient' and is a must see place on the agenda of any ex RAAF School Penang student, teacher and of course bus escort mothers (including mine) that graced the hallowed halls of the 'blue & white.'
A week really didn't seem long enough to recapture a few years worth of memories however as the group got together to set out on the journey, many a memory was shared and new ones created.
Here is a recap of this visit and if I have forgotten any precious moments I would hope that this journal will be added to and enjoyed by those who also lived it and by those that wish they did.
I am so glad that I made this trip.

PS: Background information on my memories of my time spent in Malaysia:

PS: For those of you that know me, everything is about a song so pretty sure that there will be song lyrics splattered all the way through this blog. I will most likely provide a full list of them as well as a glossary on the 'Scatterbrain' language that I speak.
Note: Unfortunately sometimes the system makes the entries get out of date order, sorry I can't seem to fix it.
