Turned 40. Then really quickly turned 41. Strewth! A break from my career. Young free and single. Will get a job another day because today is My Day Off ! After a number of postponements, the adventure begins. All available advice for the first time backpacker is to start in a country where the language and culture is similar to one's own. So China it is then! No timings and no fixed route. As always, my last minute preparation would at best come under the category of "winging it". Is there any other way?!
