Well, we've been working toward this trip for some time..40 years more or less and here we are on the eve of departure. We've read all we can about Alaska,

Talked to friends about their trips, Reviewed the routes, Customized and hardened the RV for the rough roads And stocked the pantry

The last minute load out items are piling up in the basement while the Texas heat and humidity pile up outside. I would like to say; We're Ready, but I know there will be the last minute thrash as well as the "You have got to be kidding, you forgot ________" (fill in the blank) as we head down the road and roll up the miles. So "Ready" is relative.

I will post two sections for each day. As our boys used to tell me "Give me the short version, Dad!" so, that's what I'll do and the other will be the details that may or may not be of interest.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park and Glacier National Park are the only two main way points as we work our way to Alaska so buckle your seat belts and come on along!
