A day hiking trip to Elk Falls and Elk City Lake near Independence Kansas

So my boyfriend and I went out to discover a little piece of kansas! We went to the oldest living Ghost town (Elk Falls, Kansas) and then hiking around Elk City Lake. Elk City Lake doesn't feel like kansas at all which was great for the day.
