This travelogue is from a trip I took to Madagascar in the winter of 2004. We flew from Canton-Akron, Ohio, to Atlanta, Georgia, to Paris, France, and finally to Antananarivo, Madagascar. I spent the first five days in Madagascar by myself. The next two weeks were spent working with an on going international scientific expedition in Ranamafona, as part of an Earthwatch Expedition. Finally, the last ten days of the trip were spent with Mom. Together, we visited Berenty Reserve, Ankarana Special Reserve, and Andasibe. While on my own, I traveled by public transportation; namely, taxi brouse and tax be. With Mom, I utilized Air Madagascar mainly becuase of time restrictions. All together, the trip was one of the best experiences of my life.
