Headed out early morning on the 2 1/2 hrs crossing by high speed ferry from Malaka (Malaysia) to Dumai in Indonesia. From here caught an overnight bus to the mountain town of Bukkitingi. Quite an experience of a journey as the driver was clearly possessed by the Grand Prix driving of Jenson Button thus not much sleep achieved. To boot we were dumped about 5kms from the centre of the town at 5am, at least it had stopped raining :)
