About this blog

John, his wife Joan, the photographer, and Mitzi, Joan's sister and sometime correspondent, are traveling in New Zealand and Australia. The initial reason was the wedding of Sarah, daughter of Paul, John's brother. It is to take place in Queenstown, South Island. Our itinerary starts in Auckland and gradually moves south through the North and South Islands. After the wedding we head to Te Anau and Milford Sound, then north again via Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula, Christchurch, Marlborough country, Wellington, Opotiki, and back to Auckland. We then fly to Australia, about which more later.
