About this blog

As the title of my blog suggests, at this stage I know that I'm going but I just don't know where! Scotland, the land of my undiscovered roots from where my forebears moved two generations ago, is an option but a more long-term one because my idea is to spend anything up to a year, perhaps more, living and working there as a Scot. More immediately, hopefully in the very near future, it'll be Malawi to experience a 'voyage' on one of Africa's last stately ferries, the MV Ilala. New Zealand is another option, but like Scotland, that's a more long-term prospect. Whatever the case, after many years of dreaming (have I mentioned I'm 50-something?) I'm now serious about it. Join me and let's see where we end up!
