The "No Kidnapping Allowed" Trip to Colombia
About this blog
I absolutely love South America. Just three hours on a plane takes you far and away from the ordinary. We're trying to mix things up a bit on this trip. Brittany loves the beaches and I love the mountains. Why not do both?
We'll start in Cartagena and take in the architecture for a few days. After that we're off to Santa Marta for the five day Ciudad Perdida trek (please pray that I see toucans!), then we rest our aching muscles in Tayrona National Park and finally finish with Piņa Colada's on the sugar sands of Playa Blanca. This assumes, of course, that we never run into the secretly-still-alive Pablo Escobar and his hidden jungle armies.
Most of my friends and family think we're bound to be abducted and held for ransom. Let's prove them wrong, shall we?
