England to Portugal - on my backside!

When my osteopath, Edward Jones, suggested that I needed a new target, little did either of us realise where that would lead me.

Shortly after Christmas 2008 and a few weeks after that conversation Lynn and I were in Portugal when I spotted a newly erected sign providing information on a new cycle path through the Algarve. The small map on the sign showed that the path was to be the final section of the Euro Velo cycle network, intended to link the nations of Europe, including our own.

As we returned to the UK by air an idea started to germinate of the possibilities of making a trip to Portugal from our home in Colchester, England.

Well here I am three months later, making final preparations for that very trip!
