About this blog

Nearly three weeks in Jalisco and Michuacan, Mexico. The original purpose of this trip with a two week field course through the University of Wisconsin, Madison Wildlife Ecology program, in which we did field work in the Sierra de Mananatlan Biosphere Reserve, Las Joyas Research Station and learned the social and community implications of conservation in a developing country. However, I also took trips on my own to Morelia, Michuacan to see the El Rosario Monarch Butterfly Reserve, spent extra time in Melaque, Jalisco and Guadalajara. I kept a journal throughout my travels and took over 600 pictures. Enjoy!
