Off to China to take a 6-week immersion language course in Mandarin. Wish me luck, I'm not allowed to speak English the whole time!!!

Greetings followers along! Just when you thought I was settling down, I'm off again, this time to mainland China. I'll be taking an immersion language course in Hangzhou, a small Chinese town of 6 million people southwest of Shanghai. The language pledge that all program participants sign forbids speaking any language but Chinese the whole time I'm there...and this is how I chose to spend my summer "vacation" from grad school! It will be frustrating and tough at times, but all in all, as my Aunt Jean said to me last night, here I go again on another great adventure.
