About this blog

A long drive to Ghana ...

A 12,000 mile overland journey to Ghana & back, passing through France, Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin & Ghana.

We depart from Plymouth on 7th October and the plan is to meet up with Beci(Ian's daughter) & Steve in Ghana around the 10th December. After spending a week chilling out & handing over the Landie, we'll fly home & Beci & Steve will then drive her back.

The journey will be used as both a fund-raising exercise (target £5,000) and also an educational resource with local schools being involved in the preparation, planning and monitoring of progress via the Internet.
