1st time visit to South Africa, wowed by spectacular Cape Town, expecting to see wildlife.. but penquins and seals?!

Instead of dry deserts, yellow grasslands, lions, etc - visions that I can't help having being a 1st time visitor to Africa - I was greeted with the green lush sparkling city of Cape Town, the dominant Table Mountain, the Cape Peninsula's 'surf-haven' coastlines, and some unusual wildlife which I least expect to meet in a non-icy region...
