Wonderful Giant and Tatra Mountains (Czech Republik, Slovakia/ Poland)
About this blog
We (my husband, my 4 sons and myself) like hiking in the mountains, so this will be the main purpose of our trip! The Krkonose (Giant Mountains) is the most popular mountain range in the Czech Republik. The mountains are situated alongside the Northern part of the national boundery with Poland. On the border occurs the highest mountain Snezka (1602 m). The Krkonose is approximately 40 km in length and 20 km in width. High Tatra (in Slovak: Vysoke Tatry, in Polish: Tatry Wysokie) is a part of the Eastern Tatra Mountains on the border of Slovakia and Poland . High Tatra with its 24 peaks higher than 2.500 m above sea level provide the only mountains with an Alpine character in the whole of the 1.200 km length of the Carpathian Mountain range
