Exploring the World- Visit to Holy Land
About this blog
We left for Tel Aviv, Israel via Philadelphia last September 11, 2009, A memorable day for all of us. I was a little bit scared to travel but I know was trip was really for us. Our trip went smoothly and we arrived in Tel Aviv at 3pm on the 12th of September. We went straight to our Hotel at the Port, it's a new and small hotel but very clean. We went and explore the place and had dinner at the Port area. The next day we joined the tour for Jerusalem and Bethlehem. We saw and explore the old and new city of Jerusalem, i prayed at the Western wall-the wailing wall. I took pictures inside the site where the remains of tomb of Jesus was found. It was a little bit scary when we crossed the border going to Bethlehem, our Israeli tour guide was not allowed anymore to crossed the border because Bethlehem is a Palestenian territory,so we crossed the border ourselves, then we were met with another tour guide and drove to Nativity church, the site where Jesus Christ was born.We had to passed to a narrow door to get in to the birthsite of Jesus. The place is so Holy. The next day our last day, we joined another tour for Nazareth and Galilee. We visited Capharnaum, the town of Jesus, and I saw the ruins which is very amazing, the house of St. Peter and seeing the sea of Galilee where Jesus performed a miracle by walking in the water. I got the chance to washed my hands and feet at Jordan River where Jesus was baptized, another unforgettable experience for me. I really felt Holy when I came home. It changed my life and it made me appreciate more what i had now in life. Our trip was short and quick but it was interesting and full of memories. I really thank God for giving me the privelege to visit His place. It was a guided trip from the above.
