2004
About this blog
2004 is maybe the first year I'd be tempted to describe as 'hypertravel,' i.e. on the road as much or more than at home, to the point that 'home' becomes something of a hypothetical construct, subject to a sliding scale or reason and rationality. This is the most I've traveled in several years, probably since 1999. The Big Deal this year is that I decide to give my best shot at doing business in the UK, not just selling there, but warehousing, receiving, shipping, invoicing, and the whole nine yards. It'd depend heavily on virtual systems- storage unit, cell phone, street-address, mail-box, etc.- just as I always have in the US, though it won't be as easy. The US is the easiest place in the world to set up and do business on the fly, but the UK will be easier than any place else in Europe, and that's where I want to sell to, not just the UK itself.
