Allison & Jamie's First Cruise !!!!

They say that out of everything bad comes something good and so it is with this unexpected trip....... Having been laid off effective June 12, I decided to take Allison and Jamie on a quick trip down south before they left on their cross-Canada vacation with their mom.

And so we are leaving this Thursday, June 18 for Miami and staying two nights at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina and then taking a quick 5 night Western Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Destiny, visiting Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Grand Cayman Island.

I know it seems a bit indulgent to be setting off on a trip like this less than 4 weeks after returning from Hawaii, but it's a different trip, a new adventure and I am thrilled to be sharing it with Allison and Jamie.

For those who want to follow along, we will be posting to the blog whenever we can.....
