Gus + Jess' Eight Month Honeymoon Around the World
About this blog
Welcome to our 8 month honeymoon around the world! We're shutting shop, packing our bags and hitting the road to discover the world (well a small part of it) together as husband and wife.
We've started this blog to turn it into a book, so we will always remember all the wonderful things we discovered along our travels, the hard times we endured, the funny things and the not so funny.
We also want to help other travellers, make their planning easier through our adventures, research and encounters.
Our trip starts 17th January 2010 flying from our hometown of Sydney to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. For the first 39 days of our trip we'll travel by land up to Hanoi some stops include Phu Quoc, Mekong Delta, Hoi Ann, Halong Bay and Sapa.
From there we fly to into China... kick back with some close friends for a week in Hong Kong, then fly to Shanghai and the next two weeks we'll travel by train to Huang Shan to climb Yellow Mountain and we'll then travel 20hr by train to Beijing.
On the 14th March we fly to Barcelona for a week and then another long flight to Rio on the 21st March. From here we travel throughout South America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru & Bolivia) for the remaining 4 (and a bit) months. Homeward bound to Sydney on the 25th August.
If you read of our blog and you find it provides you with helpful information and/or if you liked the photos and/or if you simply enjoyed the story, please post a comment (a short one will do!). Your encouraging words always inspire us to keep on writing.
Enjoy!
