In 1998, Terry and Ron (Leo's sister and her beau) asked us to go on a tour to Africa. We made the right decision in saying, "Yes". A total of 22 flying hours took us to Nairobi. There, we joined with 12 other tour members and began our excursion. Our transportation included planes, trains and automobiles (an army bus and a bus with giraffes painted on it)! Not hard to point out the tourists for the locals. Bats in the bathroom (batroom) and cold showers became a normal occurrence (not to mention the critters). Going to Africa was a life altering experience in many ways including a gained appreciation for our every day amenities and way of life.
