Israel - 40 Days, 40 Nights! An ordinary American. An ordinary Christian. A first-time sojourn in the Promised Land, seeking something. Perhaps an extraordinary experience.
About this blog
When the desire to visit and experience Israel first hand began to tickle my thoughts, I don't recall. Yet, it has grown over time and recently demanded action with an urgency that would not allow me to ignore it any longer. So, I bought a round-trip ticket. There was no conscious awareness of the amount of time I was allowing for the trip. Just an interesting observation, once done, that it was for 40 days. Forty is a significant number in Biblical naratives. Therefore, I am choosing to believe that it portends a significant and good sign for an amazing journey. With only 10 days left before my departure, I start my travel journal. Shalom, and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
