It is that time again to come along with us on our 6th captivating voyage down-under to Australia and New Zealand!
Australia having a population is approximately 22.6 million, with approximately 60 per cent concentrated in and around the mainland state capitals of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. Covering a mere 1% of this vast continent. The country is blessed with sites like the Great Barrier Reef, rain-forests, alpine scenery, rolling wineries, countless sand beaches, bird-filled wetlands, and animals that do not exist anywhere on earth!
The population of New Zealand is approximately 4.4 million, with approximately 53 percent living in the four largest cities of Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, and Hamilton. No point is more than 70 miles (112km) from the sea. Much of the country is made up of hilly, green fields occupied by more the 40 million sheep and 5 million cattle. New Zealand is a land of immense and diverse from spectacular glaciers, picturesque fiords, rugged mountains, vast plains, rolling hillsides, subtropical forest, volcanic plateau, miles of coastline with gorgeous sandy beaches.
Starting in Sydney (international entry point from the USA) we fly northeast to Cairns and travel counter-clockwise around the country then to New Zealand, following the seasons of the end of winter, spring and summer.
