Summer in Italy is a time when long sunny days are best celebrated with wine, music, and good friends. The aroma of rich cappuccino, the pastel-colored houses perched above the Mediterranean Sea, sunset over a seaside fortress, good times with special friends. Such are some of the memories of my past four trips to Italy. This fifth visit is even more momentous because of the celebration of two special friends' wedding in Naples. Afterwards, follow me north to Norway, land of the ancient Vikings and mystical waterfalls, where the midnight sun seems to cast its eternal luminosity above the majestic fjords. Italia. Norge. Two countries permeated by the incessant, resplendent days of summer...
