Join us as we begin our new adventure on the MV First Forty as we travel from Norfolk, VA to New England and hopefully Maine. Our vessel is a stout Nordhavn 40 which we live on part time.

The plan is to leave Norfork and head up Chesapeake bay to shake her down. Then down Delaware Bay and offshore/overnight up to Rhode Island before making our way up to Maine.

Generally we hope to get up to Maine traveling 4-5 days a week an average of 50-70 miles per day. We will plan one offshore/overnight leg assuming the boat seems ready.

Then we will spend a few weeks in Maine before taking a slower return trip down the New England coast. We will winter in FL next Dec. Thats the rough plan. But...its only a plan.
