This is a happy trip down memory lane for me, a bit of self indulgence, in 2002, I set off on a trip around the world. blogging wasn't heard of and I didn't have a digital camera. This is from emails and diary entries I made during that time, only this time with the photo's and few notes from 2010.

I had reached a milestone birthday..my 40th. I had been in Paris for the past 3-years. I had nothing to complain about really, well paid job, good social life, Paris was great, with my job came a little apartment in the 16th a wonderful arrondisment, it had amongst other things, wonderful food shops including a great Lenotre which I loved. On Wednesday's and Saturday's there was a market in the little square, the Bois de Bologne was my local park. It was Paris at its best, In short all was just ticking along nicely. Except the love life but that is another story.

What to do? It was time for a change, but I didn't feel like just changing jobs. I was ready for an adventure. So I made a rough plan, tied up the loose ends and off I went.

So this is my trip. London-Japan-Hong Kong-China-Vietnam-Laos-Thailand-Singapore-Australia-New Zealand-USA.

I hope you enjoy reading my story of the trip, as much as I enjoyed being there.
