Spending Family Time in Cornwall

About this blog

Frederick was spending time with Grandma Gilmer this week-end (last week-end - Fiona spent time with her). Our alone time with Frederick - http://www.travelpod.com/dashboard/entry/48/1402867872

What to do? We ended up packing up the car and heading to Cornwall to spend some time with Joanne's Mom and Dad (plus her niece and niece's sisters). The weather was nice and sunny so we thought it would be nice for Fiona to use their swimming pool as well.

We actually thought we were just visiting Joanne's parents. For Fiona, it was an added bonus to be able to play with kids her own age. I even took the girls to a school around the block so they could run around on the play structure. I took pictures and videos of them playing. We even acted out little plays so I could video tape them in action. It kept us busy for a short time.

Fiona loves to swim. She especially likes visiting Grandma and Grandpa Robinson as they have a beautiful swimming pool in Cornwall.

It was a relaxing day by the pool. Joanne and I had a couple beers, talked with Alex and Annette and watched the kids swim in the pool.

After a bit, we decided to hit the highway - headed back home. Before we went home though, we stopped off at the Tincap Restaurant for a bite to eat.

I then brought Joanne and Fiona back home and then went to my Mom's house to pick Frederick up to bring him back to our place.

It was a nice day to spend with our family. Next time we go back to Cornwall, we'll bring both kids. We are thinking about going to the Cornwall Ribfest in July of this year.

Well, due to obligations with the kid's camps, we weren't able to make the Ribfest. Instead, we made a visit up to Cornwall on Aug. 3 - Today. We had lots of fun (enjoyed lunch and supper with the family) and Joanne even had a chance to visit with her sister Natalie.
