About this blog

We were invited by my former Professor, Otis Tamasauskas from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Every year he brings a small group of undergraduate printmakers to the center to use the "The Monster Press" a hydraulic press with a press bed of 5'x10'. Residents get a chance to work very large, generally working on 4'x8' woodcuts and monoprints. In the past Otis has asked graduate students from nearby U.S. schools to join the group to print and share their expertise.

It was a long drive (16 hrs each way) but well worth it. The CAC is a very special place - not
