About this blog

Cabo San Lucas, Baja California! If you haven't put this spot on your bucket list, you should. Cabo is the jewel of Baja, Mexico. Whether you're planning an exciting family vacation, corporate retreat, golf getaway, world class fishing trip or a romantic vacation, you can find the perfect vacation right here.

If this is your first trip to Cabo, here are some helpful hints. Immigration will give you a piece of paper when you arrive. HOLD ONTO IT! You will need to give it to them when you leave. Lose it, you face a lot of hassle and a $50. fee. There is a gauntlet of vendors & timeshare salesmen you pass after immigration. Ignore them, look straight ahead and don't stop until you exit the airport. Unless you made prior arrangements for transportation, you can do it now as you have several choices. 1. Rental car: Not cheap & you must buy liability ins. (Your home policy won't cover you in Mexico). 2. Airport shuttle: $15. per person. Takes a little longer than a cab but the free cervezas along the way are worth it. 3. Airport limo: TranPacifico offers upscale transportation from the airport to downtown Cabo for $95. (up to 7 people in a late model suburban). This is a great deal, even for a family of 4. 4. Taxis: Not expensive in Cabo. A ride to Costco will run about $10. or $7. to WalMart. Tipping is built into the price.

We are staying at Pueblo Bonito, Sunset Beach....breathtaking scenery & gorgeous furnishings with a private jacuzzi on our deck. From our balcony, we have a view of an endless sparkling silver strand of beach, the Pacific ocean with the waves crashing onto the beach and the cruiseships gently gliding by. It's paradise by the sea. Time for a margarita.
