So, I got my permanent visa for Aus and, after a 3 month spell of earning a living back in rainy Sligo, I'm ready to hit the road again: destination sunny Victoria. I could, of course, take a direct flight... but how dull would that be?! So I'm opting for 'the scenic route'. I am heading to visit friends and family in UK and France before landing in Helsinki and beginning a series of train journeys east, through Russia, Mongolia and China, from where I will fly back to Melbourne. I expect to be in Aus some time in November, at which time I will have to face up to reality, after a long spell of doing my own thing: find a job, start paying rent and all that tedium... but till then I'm a free spirit once more... so bring on the next leg of the trip!
