About this blog

On the road is the Travel Journal of Fernando Muramoto for the 6-month journey in Asia and Africa in 2010. The journey will take place between February and August 2010, and will encompass both volunteering (around 3 months) and travelling (around 3 months).

Volunteering activities will take place in Nepal, Zambia and Kenya. In Nepal I will teach English to children for 4 weeks, in Zambia join The Rural Outreach Programme for Education and Sport (ROPES) and coach sports to children for 4 weeks, and in Kenya work with wildlife conservation and research projects in the Shimoni Archipelago for 5 weeks.

Travelling destinations include India (Rajasthan), China and Continental Southeast Asia. I'm particularly excited about travelling India, China and Northern Thailand due to their vast cultural diversity. Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos will likely be more of quick stops in "must go" tourism destinations such as the Angkor Wat and Luang Prabang.
