About this blog

This was a trip to (1) visit Christina's family and friends in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and (2) spend a week exploring Cambodia's Angkor Wat for the fist time. Christina grew up on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, in a town called Petaling Jaya. We have decided to visit her family and friends every other year, and each time couple that visit with a portion in another area. Last time we visited Kuala Lumpur and then the island of Borneo (Sarawak).

This time we spend about a week in KL and a week in Cambodia, visiting the temples of Angkor! We really loved Cambodia. Despite everything they have been through with the Khmer Rouge (not that long ago, and you can't find a person who's family was not touched by the tragedy), the people are warm and genuinely friendly.

The exchange rate is about 1 to 10, so the US dollar goes far there. I can't wait to go back!
