Tabernacle of Praise in Jerusalem
About this blog
This blog describes my experiences as an intern and staff in Jerusalem, Israel at Succat Hallel, which is Hebrew for "Tabernacle of Praise." This concept comes from King David, who established a tabernacle with 288 singers and 4,000 musicians who ministered to the Lord day and night (1 Chronicles15:16-22; 23:4-6; 25:7). Although the tabernacle was replaced by the temple, the Davidic order of worship was reinstated by 7 leaders in the history of Israel and Judah (Solomon, Jehoshaphat, Joash, Hezekiah, Josiah, Ezra, and Nehemiah). Each time this order of worship was reintroduced, major breakthroughs and victories occurred. Over the past few decades, this intercessory worship model has inspired prayer houses to spread throughout the world. Prayer houses are also springing up throughout the world because people are wanting to join in with the worship and prayer surrounding the throne of the Lord in Heaven (Revelation 4 and 5) even while on earth. Revelation 5:8-9 describes the 24 elders around the throne with harps (musical worship) and golden bowls full of incense (the prayers of the saints), and they are singing a new song to Jesus on the throne. That is what people seek to do in these houses of prayer, and it is an honor and joy to be a part of it!
