About this blog

Melbourne - what a beautiful city, some say ..., for others, a concrete trap. We were like any other couple with kids, having house, work, a few friends.

We have been here for so long, living, working and finally we have made a decision to sell everything and travel around the block.

When we came to Melbourne eight years ago we were thinking it is hot, sunny country where people wear shorts and short sleeve shirts. What a mistake. Maybe it is true but the hell not in Melbourne. Summer lasts only for four months and even these months our unpredictable. Temperatures vary from 15 to 45 Celsius degrees depending on what sort of extreme we are currently facing. After a few short holidays to Queensland we had made an irreversible decision to one-day move and live there.

Originally we were thinking to look for a job there and then move. However after a long conversation we decided to first, travel around the blog and then settle down in Queensland. So, instead of travelling 1700 km to Gold Coast, we will travel 17000 and travel from Melbourne to Alice Springs, Perth, Broome, Darwin, Mt Isa, Cairns, Townsville and finally Gold Coast.
