Three teenagers and their parents will conquer the continent, traveling over 110 hours on South American buses (with promises of business class style chairs-ha!) from south to north, braving repeated sessions of Dad's ECS* seminars, meeting new and interesting people, and exploring tourist destinations, armed with personal MP3 players and digital cameras, trusting the Internet-found hostals host no bedbugs, hopefully emerging wiser, stronger, and closer-knit.

*ECS Ministries,** formerly Emmaus Correspondence Courses, is a distance education Bible school with courses in 105 languages in 120 countries. Jim will teach seminars to encourage and train people to use the courses in 10 cities along the way.
