Erik's Adventure Through Coca Fields and Ancient Incan Ruins

When one thinks of Spring Break, what comes to mind are the all inclusive resorts of Mexico and the Caribbean. The brain conjures up images of alcohol fueled parties, mobs of underage Americans, and wet t-shirt contests. Though these images may prove to be a fun vacation, especially the wet t-shirt part, they do not offer new experiences nor do they allow for much adventure.
Cue to the random phone call from a former co-worker who simply asked, "Erik, do you want to go to Peru?" Now my mind conjured up images of ancient ruins, rustic villages, and cloud covered mountains. Obviously, I had to answer with a "Yes."
Thus began a two week adventure that was dangerous, terrifying, frustrating, sickening, yet at the same time incredibly unforgettable and amazing.
