The planning for the first trip to New Zealand, the Cook Islands and Australia has been underway for several years, but it was given a sharper focus when it became a part of Woody's sabbatical project - looking for universities for a semester-abroad for Lynchburg College students. The second trip, to China and Japan in June 2007, is an add-on.
