About this blog

We are taking the trip of our dreams through the first five months of 2006. Our plans are to spend 5 weeks in NZ, doing 5 treks, then in Patagonia we spend 7 weeks doing 4 major treks. We visit Telluride near Denver USA, to see friends, before a break in Toronto with Jackie's sister Louise. Then we experience New York and Paris en route to Nepal. Our target was to be the Annapurna Circuit near Pokhara and then overland through India to Varanasi and on to Mumbai. Due to instability in Nepal we changed this part to a visit to Sikkim and a trek near Khanchendzonga plus some time in Ladakh, in and around Leh. We finish the trip with a few days in Bangkok, visiting friends, before returning to Australia and family in the first week of June.
