Colombian icons such as; Juan Valdez, Sonora Dinamita, and Celso Pina are all ubiquitous to the Colombian experience. Will these images align with my expectations of this South American country?

Baja California lies in my immediate backyard, and I have covered the northern part of this peninsula numerous times. In July, I discovered Peru for the first time. From the foggy city of Lima to the hot, steamy Amazonian highlands of Tarapoto, Peru was astounding.

My next adventure takes me to the Carribean lowlands of Barranquilla and the suburbs of Soledad where I will spend my holidays and quality time with someone very special, and learn about a culture different from my own.
