This is my first trip to Asia. I was invited to a wedding in Koi Summi so how could I not go?

The trip starts in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, home to some of the biggest and most aggresive mosquitos in the world. The picture is a life size model of the second largest mosquito ever captured in Manitoba. Of course, most are only about 1/4 to 1/2 this size. (picture curtesey of the Komono Chamber of Commerce).

I'm flying to Bangkok tommorow via Chicago and Tokyo. I arrive at midnight thurs and leave at 6am for the island of Koi Summi where I'll meet up with friends who are already there. With 2 days of only sleeping on planes and in airport lobbies I'll probably just crash on the beach...after a beer or two.
